Aliyah Mubdi-Bey is a rental assistance associate at BRHP, where she processes recertifications, interim changes, rent increases, and final eligibility. Prior to BRHP, she worked at Jenkins Block and Associates as a paralegal. In this role, she helped individuals apply and receive social security disability benefits. Aliyah earned her undergraduate degree from Sojourner Douglass College. In her free time she enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and reading.
Ashley Herring is a rental assistance associate with a focus on leasing at BRHP. Her responsibilities include responding to program participant and owner requests and processing interim changes, final eligibility applications, rent increases, and request for tenancy approvals (RTAs). Prior to BRHP, Ashley was a family investment specialist with Baltimore City Department of Social Services. Ashley graduated from Montclair State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading books and binge watching Grey’s Anatomy.
Emily Meyer is a rental assistance associate at BRHP. Her responsibilities include processing recertifications, rent increases, and interim changes. Previously, Emily worked as a community-based case manager with various nonprofits in DC and PG County. She earned her bachelor’s degree in health promotion with an emphasis in program development and management. In her free time, Emily enjoys playing board games and finding new things to do in the Baltimore.
Esteban is a rental assistance associate, where he manages interim changes, rent increases, and terminations. Prior to working at BRHP, Esteban worked as an online sales manager at Mac Business Solutions, an Apple reseller. He also worked at Chipotle Mexican Grill (but already knew how to make guacamole before that). He earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a minor in religious studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. In his free time, Esteban loves watching and playing soccer, honing his analytical skills through video and board games, hiking, and doing anything in the kitchen.
FaShaunDa Walton is the Housing Choice Voucher director at BRHP. Her responsibilities include overseeing BRHP’s Housing Choice Voucher Department, which is responsible for administering rental assistance to Baltimore Housing Mobility program participants. Prior to BRHP, FaShaunDa worked in banking and retail. In her free time, FaShaunDa enjoys spending time at home with her family.
Julianne Walker is a leasing team lead at BRHP. Her responsibilities include leasing new admission participants and movers, monitoring the flow of leasing, and quality control. She also works with participants and property partners in addressing their concerns during the leasing process. Prior to BRHP, Julie worked as a community development assistant at Park Central Development. She also served in Americorps as a case manager at the McKinleyville Family Resource Center. Julie earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She received her master’s degree in social work from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. Julie comes from a military family, and still enjoys traveling and exploring new places often.
Kelley Webb is a rent assistance associate at BRHP. She is responsible for processing recertifications, interims, and rent increases. Prior to BRHP, Kelley worked at the Baltimore County Department of Housing and Community Development as a rental subsidy specialist. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry and doing arts and crafts.
Nicole is a rental assistance associate at BRHP, where she manages caseloads of HCV participants. She is also responsible for determining a participants program eligibility, voucher issuance, calculating tenant rent portions and Housing Assistance Payments (HAP). Prior to BRHP, Nicole worked as a membership experience representative at USA Lacrosse. She also worked as an office secretary for the Comptroller of Maryland. Nicole graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in human services administration from the University of Baltimore. In her free time, she enjoys reading, binge watching a good show, and traveling.
Rockelle Woodard is a customer care representative at BRHP. She is responsible for ensuring the office is well managed, working with the inspections and rental assistance teams, and other administrative responsibilities. Rockelle previously worked in the health field as an administrative assistant at Marquis Health Services and ManorCare Health Services. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and is currently working on her master’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix. She is member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Shal Kamal is the Housing Choice Voucher supervisor at BRHP. Her responsibilities include overseeing the Housing Choice Voucher recertifications team, ensuring items are in compliance and maintaining company goals. She also works with homeowners in the program, as well as project based voucher holders. Shal also ensures program participants and property partners are educated about the program and how assistance is calculated. As Housing Choice Voucher supervisor, she also works on special projects that broaden BRHP’s reach and impact in the Baltimore area. Prior to BRHP, Shal worked at a Section 8/Tax Credit apartment complex. She also worked for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded home repair program, which provided home repairs for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Shal attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. In her free time, she enjoys quilting and viewing fresh water tropical aquariums.
Tia Bryant is a rental assistance associate at BRHP. Her responsibilities include responding to program participant and owner requests and processing interim changes, final eligibility applications, rent increases, and request for tenancy approvals (RTAs). Prior to BRHP, Tia worked in property management for 16 years. In her free time, Tia enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.
Tonya is a rental assistance associate at BRHP, where is responsible for managing an assigned caseload of BRHP families, processing recertifications, rent increases, interim changes, and denials and/or terminations. ): Previous, Tonya worked as a family investment specialist with the Dorchester County Department of Social Services where she interviewed applicants for public assistance, medical assistance and/or food stamps in the Family Investment Administration (FIA) of the Department of Human Resources to determine eligibility and need for FIA programs. She also worked for Dorchester Early Learning Center as a family advocate, where she performed case management, educated families, coordinated monthly socializations, and helped parents become self-sufficient. Tonya received a bachelor’s degree in administration with a concentration in business from Sojourner-Douglass College. In her free time she enjoys shopping, decorating, traveling, listening to music, and, most importantly, spending time with her adult children and grandchildren.
