The Baltimore Regional Housing Partnership (BRHP) must receive your rent increase request at least 120 days before the requested effective date. The rent may not exceed the reasonable rent for the unit as most recently determined by BRHP per HUD requirements.
Approved requests will be effective the first of the month 120 days after the receipt of this request or on the date you request below, whichever is later. You will receive written notice from BRHP 60 days prior to the effective date.
Other Considerations
- Rent increases must be consistent with the lease.
- All changes in rent are subject to rent reasonableness requirements, BRHP approval, and available funding.
- If the gross rent (rent plus utilities) exceeds the BRHP payment standard, the tenant will be responsible for the increase in rent.
