Akash has been a BRHP Property Partner for over a year, currently leasing several properties through the program with five tenants and three more pending. Although he was aware of the housing assistance programs like the Housing Choice Voucher, he hadn’t heard of BRHP until a prospective tenant introduced him to it. “Christine, my first tenant, she’s been great, no issues. She got me into working with BRHP after she mentioned she had a voucher from BRHP.”

Akash has found BRHP to be a responsive and supportive partner. “BRHP has been really good at answering questions, most of the time all of our questions are answered.”

He highlights the value of BRHP’s support, especially in navigating the leasing process and understanding program requirements. “I think the responses have been the most valuable, getting explanations of the process.”

Akash offers thoughtful advice about his experience in the program, “I know that voucher holders get a bad rap, but if you do a proper screening method and make sure the tenant’s good and have good communication with them and BRHP, working with BRHP is great.”

Akash’s advice to landlords on the fence of being a part of BRHP’s Property Partner program; “It’s a waiting game at times, but once you understand the process, it’s great.
