Fiona Mesfun is a Policy Associate at BRHP. Her responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and tracking housing and community development policy, primarily at the state and local levels. She helps develop and implement BRHP’s public policy agenda, and provides expert testimony and advocacy on federal, state, and local matters relevant to BRHP. Furthermore, she collaborates with housing advocates and coalitions to increase awareness around housing mobility and equitable economic development. Prior to BRHP, Fiona was legislative director to the Baltimore City State Senate Delegation, where she oversaw legislative duties and communications for Baltimore City senators. Fiona attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In her free time, she enjoys promoting literacy through her book club “Reading is Activism,” cooking, painting, and spending time with her family and friends.
